Ate my first blackberries of the season walking to Banavie Station at 07:30 this morning, and made a decent curry last night from a big crop of edible fungi growing, ignored, on the campsite there by the Lochy. The beach I found on Mull a few weeks ago was backed by acres of fruit bushes, and the rocks at low tide were covered in whelks and limpets. Throw out a couple of fishing lines and...
Johnny Alpha
Awful weather battering my camp in old lead workings above Strontian. It’s a day in the tent ; drinking tea, reading Christopher Priest and pissing into a cut-off plastic bottle. Looks like I’ll be on skinny rations over the tops to Glenfinnan.

The last couple of years I’ve been through a Montane top I won in a photography competition (shoddy) and a Haglofs...
