Bulldog spirit

Early stop today, repair time, stitching up kit while listening to ‘The War Rooms’ EP on my AAA powered MP3 player. For the best part of two decades I wore Buffalo windshirts; tough, practical kit; big kangaroo zip pocket, side zip vents, velcro wrist closures. The last couple of years I’ve been through a Montane top I won in a photography competition (shoddy) and a Haglofs windshirt which split its seams yesterday when I shrugged it onto my manly shoulders. One definition of insanity is that you keep repeating actions even when you keep getting the same negative results. Not me. I’ll be picking up a new Buffalo windshirt in Mallaig Post Office next week courtesy of Needlesports. Decent kit for British conditions that’s actually made IN Britain, rather than having a Union Jack slapped on it because one of the design team lives here.
