In use, the Fire Maple FMS-300T has a wider range of heat output than you might expect, but most of that heat is going straight up. Conventional wisdom would have it that’s fine for brews and boiling water, but cooking might be tricky if you want to avoid spot-welding your dinner to the centre of your pan. We’ll see.
